The Koelliker Group, a leader in the import and distribution of automobiles in Italy since 1936, announces a change in upper management:
Luca Ronconi will step down as CEO of Koelliker S.p.A. as of 1 December 2021.
Ronconi, called to the helm in 2009 by Luigi Koelliker to initiate a major reorganisation of the Group, has successfully completed his mandate.
At the end of the restructuring, in 2019, anticipating future trends in the automotive market, he set about shaping the new project that would take the Koelliker Group into the future.
“Today KGen, the Italian electric mobility hub, has a good footing, and it is time for me to look forward to new, ambitious projects”, explains Ronconi.
The continuity of the Koelliker Group’s activities is entrusted to Marco Saltalamacchia.
As President, he will continue to build on Ronconi’s legacy by actively using his in-depth knowledge of the automotive sector.
Saltalamacchia previously held various positions at Renault in the Commercial, Marketing and After-Sales Departments, at FCA in the fleet and corporate business area and at BMW, first as President of the Italian subsidiary and then as Senior Vice President Region Europe, at BMW AG in Munich.
Over the course of these experiences, he has acquired a global vision of the automotive business, which he has put at the service of the Koelliker Group since February 2021.
“We would like to thank Luca Ronconi for first turning the company around and then translating a vision that is now part of Koelliker’s core business into reality,” states Saltalamacchia.
“We will continue the work we have started and we wish him the best of luck in his new opportunities”.
